Being chosen as a bridesmaid is a beautiful gesture of friendship and trust—but let’s not pretend it’s just vibes and photoshoots. In Ghana, weddings are full of style, and being part of the bridal squad often comes with some serious expenses. Infact, It costs to be a bridesmaid.

It’s also important to note that bridesmaid costs can vary—some brides cover part of the expenses, while others expect the bridal party to handle everything, from fabric to footwear. Your total spend will often depend on the bride’s vision, your location and the kind of wedding being planned (traditional, white, or both).

If you’re unsure about what’s expected of you beyond spending money, check out our post on Bridesmaid Duties in Ghana : A Comprehensive Guide. Here’s a real-life breakdown of what it can cost to be a bridesmaid in Ghana.
